Developing an industry-specific online training and accreditation solution

OSPRI approached QCONZ to build an online training and accreditation programme for the National Animal Identification and Traceability (NAIT) Accreditation Standard. The objective was to educate key industry stakeholders, including stock agents, farm consultants, meat processors, and saleyard agents, on this essential standard.

The training needed to be accessible online and tailored to the specific needs of the industry. It also required an integrated assessment component that would generate completion certificates upon successful participation. The branding had to align with the client’s existing identity, incorporating their logos, colours, and imagery, while connecting to the online resources already available on their website.

To meet these goals, the QCONZ eLearning Development team worked closely with OSPRI’s project coordinator and their technical specialists to ensure the programme would effectively teach and assess the key learning outcomes. Meanwhile, the QCONZ IT team designed and developed a custom online sign-up and payment portal to manage the end-to-end process, from registration and onboarding to certificate generation.

Delivered on time and within budget, the programme looks professional, is well structured and engaging, and meets the needs of the organisation and learners. Two programmes for NAIT Information Provider and NAIT Entities Dealing with NAIT Animals, are live and available for stakeholders to complete as part of the accreditation process.
